Clinician Wellness, the Impact on Caring for Your Patients, and Strategies to Mitigate Risk

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Evidence demonstrates a strong link between clinician well-being and the quality of care provided to patients. Dr. Shanafelt will review the literature on clinician burnout and discuss data on the personal and professional repercussions of distress.  This will be followed by an individual activity where participants will take a validated self-assessment instrument to measure their level of well-being and gain insight into how their well-being compares to peers.  In groups participants will share their drivers of burnout and identify common challenges.  Dr. Dyrbye will provide evidence-based information about organizational and individual approaches to reclaim the joy in daily practice. Lastly, participants will share their wellness strategies and work on an individualized personal action plan.
