Chrisandra Shufelt, MD, is the associate director of the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute and director of the Women's Hormone and Menopause Program. She provides personalized menopause system treatment (hormone and non-hormone options), high-risk hormone counseling for women with or at risk for heart disease and cardiac risk assessments. Shufelt is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Endocrine Society, and the American Heart Association. She is a co-investigator on many studies at Cedars-Sinai, including those focusing on heart disease affecting small arteries in women. Her research interests are women and heart disease, menopause symptom management, and the study of the influence of hormones on heart disease. She has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and the Journal of the American Medical Association and has presented at both national and international conferences.
